Stunning Boat Wraps Rule the Waves

Australia’s Fish Wreck creates stunning and exclusive artwork boat wraps for the fishing fraternity using Avery Dennison® MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS™ cast print film and Avery Dennison® DOL 6460 Premium High Gloss overlaminate

Using unique artwork sources and his film wrapping expertise, boat wrapping specialist Paul Shaw transforms drab, everyday fishing boats into vivid, floating artworks that dazzle, while providing durable above the waterline hull protection.

Australian boat wrapping specialist Paul Shaw brightens up the lives and vessels of offshore fishermen around the world with a maritime marriage of Avery Dennison’s high-quality films, his unique artwork sources and his film wrapping expertise - transforming drab, everyday fishing boats into vivid, floating works of art.

His company, Fish Wreck on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, has built a reputation for creating stunning and exclusive artwork boat wraps for the fishing fraternity that impresses, while also providing durable, above the water line hull protection.

That’s down to Paul’s choice of Avery Dennison® MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS™ cast print film; and Avery Dennison® DOL 6460 Premium High Gloss overlaminate, completed with edge sealant to protect the printed wrap.

The combination of these quality wrap materials, coupled with Paul’s unique artwork choices from leading Australian and international artists, has created a flotilla of fish-catching, yet eye-catching craft that brightens up both Australian and international waters.

Durable, Distinctive Designs

The MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS™ film and DOL 6460 Premium High Gloss overlaminate are both industry leading digital inkjet print wrapping solutions for a wide variety of durable outdoor graphic needs.

For Paul, they’re the ideal materials to transform tired or dull boat hulls into striking artistic creations with distinctive designs and eye-popping colours, that will withstand the harshest effects of sea and sun to impress for years to come.

The boats he wraps are recreational and sports fishing craft up to 40 feet (21.1 metres) in length and can be wrapped while on their trailers.

His process of transforming a humdrum recreational fishing boat into a craft with attitude is straightforward, and much faster than the time it takes for traditional paint jobs.

And with each boat a floating advert for his work, interest in these unique boat wraps is growing rapidly among fishing and recreational boating communities.

True-to-Life Real Artwork Makes the Difference

A former signwriter, Paul processes the artwork for the wraps himself. He uses real, hand-drawn art – rather than computer-generated graphics – which gives true-to-life realism to his creations and sets Fish Wreck apart from his competitors.

Once a potential customer makes an enquiry, Paul contacts his roster of professional artists throughout Australia, the US, Canada, South Africa and Denmark, who have catalogues of hand-drawn or hand-painted artworks to choose from.

Once the artwork is selected, he uses computer software and his graphic skills to make it suit the customer’s requirements and fit the dimensions of the customer’s hull.

Paul has invested in only the best wide format printing equipment so he can ensure the highest level of quality for every job, all printed in-house and to his high standards.

Paul has mastered his installation technique — a single-handed wrapping process that only takes around three hours, which quickly gives plain and old boats a sparkling new look.

Breathtaking Transformation

“The wrapping procedure is simple and easy, but the results completely transform the appearance of a boat. It can be quite breathtaking,” says Paul.

“Traditional paint jobs come nowhere near the effects these boat wraps can create, while the overlaminate provides great protection against any bumps or scrapes that may occur.

“The whole process is quick, efficient, stunningly effective and long-lasting.

“I’m particularly pleased I can offer customers unique quality artwork choices from talented and respected artists, expressed on high-quality, high-performance wraps to make their boats one-of-a-kind,” adds Paul.

Of course, this artistic talent and quality film technology are wrapped up by Paul’s expertise and skill in applying the finished films to make boat transformations complete.
