Lead the Way at the Rugby World Cup

Street Graphics

The Rugby World Cup (RWC) was an amazing spectacle of skill and ability, watched avidly by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Avery Dennison was chosen to provide materials for the game’s promotional campaign and was delighted to be a part of this exciting event. “We decided on Avery MPI 6121 Street Graphics film for the RWC ‘Fan Trail’ as it produces impactful and eye-catching graphics. The organizers gave us great feedback and we’ve been very pleased with the results,” said Jules Calnan, Head of Print Production at Ogilvy New Zealand.

MPI 6121 is a digital film that can be applied to both indoor and outdoor surfaces where an authentic smooth finish is desired. It has been engineered with a unique ‘microfracture’ technology (patent pending) that allows the film to adhere to very rough surfaces by fracturing and conforming. This makes MPI 6121 ideal for short-term promotional advertising and for temporary way-finding graphics for parades, festivals and events such as the RWC.

Durability of materials is the most important factor for consideration when setting up outdoor advertising campaigns. Tested in accordance with AS/NZS 463:2004 slip resistance measurements, MPI 6121 can last up to six months with foot traffic and up to three months with vehicle traffic.

"This is an amazing product that has the power to create many innovative marketing opportunities in outdoor advertising. The RWC 'Fan Trail' is a great example of how impactful and useful this material can be," said Kristina Glasgow, Sales Executive, New Zealand.
