Avery Dennison Supports China Guangfa Bank Makeover

Guangdong Development Bank was founded in Guangzhou in 1988, and is one of the earliest shareholding commercial banks in China. Its business originally serviced South China, but over the past 20 or so years, the branch network has expanded to other cities throughout the country.

To mark the milestone of becoming one of the first-class commercial banks in China, on 8 April 2011, the bank changed its name to China Guangfa Bank (CGB) and launched its new logo, the design of which means "gather wealth".

Working with a famous design agency Landor and the converter partners, Avery Dennison GRS provided the best product solutions to meet the end user's detailed requirements for its new corporate image. The key element was a traditional illuminated backlight sign combined with a vacuum thermoforming acrylic logo. The finished sign is among the most innovative and highest quality in the China market.

As the master material supplier for CGB, Avery Dennison provided5500 QM series cast translucent color film, 5301 blockout film, functional light enhancement film and flexible substrate material to help the converter bring the designer's concept into reality.

CGB plans to refresh 500 sites all over China during 2011, which creates big challenges for material supply and productivity. Avery Dennison stands ready to meet those challenges. With its new Specialist Converter network and extensive distribution channels, the successful completion of the project is assured.
