The Making of the "King of the Wrap World" 2016

Find out how freshly crowned "King of the Wrap World" Nick Caminiti of Exotic Graphix emerged victorious over 223 installers in the global "Wrap Like a King" challenge.

It started with Supreme  Wrapping™ Film and DOL 1460 Overlaminate

Caminiti used Avery Dennison® Supreme Wrapping™ Film Diamond Silver with DOL 1460 overlaminate film on the 1930 Ford Tudor. The design concept was inspired by the 1960’s theme which incorporated a mixture of various elements such as the fishscale and fingerprint patterns to give it the 1960s feel. The glitter base of the Diamond Silver film was a perfect fit for the overall design. To achieve the Toxic Rat design on the back of the car, the rat was airbrushed and scanned in high definition, before it was printed on the DOL 1460 overlaminate. In addition, the interior of the 1930 Ford Tudor was also wrapped to give the entry a cohesive look. Such details created a look that would not be possible with custom paint.

Applying the films on the Ford Tudor required great installation skills especially around challenging curves at the rear of the Ford Tudor. The film was heated and stretched to get around and conform to the corners of the vehicle, while ensuring that the lines in the design remains straight.

Check out how Exotic Graphix transformed a 1930 Ford Tudor into a ravishing beauty, with full custom wrap using Avery Dennison® Supreme Wrapping™ Film Diamond Silver and DOL 1460 overlaminate. The high conformability characteristic of the Supreme Wrapping™ Film series, ensured it would sit very well along the curves of the vehicle at the rear, which is the most challenging part of the car.
